Energy efficiency upgrade with a new AERMEC heat pump system
The air-conditioning system of the Green Hill Hotel in Attica has been significantly upgraded with the installation of a new heat pump from the Italian manufacturer AERMEC, replacing the existing heating–cooling system, which consisted of an oil-fired floor boiler and an air-cooled water chiller.
A heat pump of the type NRL800HDA01 was installed in the hotel, with a nominal cooling/heating capacity of 210/234 kW. The unit is distinguished by its high instantaneous efficiency, with EER = 2.84 and COP = 3.12, as well as its excellent seasonal performance, with ESEER = 4.01 in cooling and SCOP = 3.53 in heating.
Additionally, it features an integrated heat recovery exchanger (desuperheater) to support the production of domestic hot water (DHW), as well as a built-in hydraulic module, which includes a 700-liter buffer tank, a water pump, and an expansion vessel.
This upgrade provides the hotel with significant energy savings, enhanced comfort, and reduced operating costs.
