HVAC System Upgrade in Corfu
At the four-star Louis Ionian Sun Hotel, located in the Benitses area of Corfu, an HVAC system upgrade was carried out with the installation of two AERMEC air-cooled chiller units, addressing the increased operational demands of the hotel and significantly improving overall energy efficiency.
Given the particularly high requirements for low noise levels and high energy performance, two AERMEC NSM 1402 DNO chillers were selected, with a total installed capacity of 660 kW. The units deliver very high efficiency and exceptionally low sound levels, ensuring reliable and efficient operation throughout the entire tourist season.
The chillers are equipped with integrated desuperheaters for partial heat recovery, contributing to optimized energy management of the installation. In addition, they feature screw compressors and microchannel heat exchangers, offering increased efficiency, reduced unit weight, and enhanced thermal performance.
The high energy efficiency of the system is reflected in both instantaneous and seasonal performance indicators, with EER 3.36 and SEER 4.54, substantially reducing energy consumption and operating costs for the hotel.
