Apartment Renovation in the Acropolis Area

Modern Residential Climate Control in a Listed Urban Environment in Acropolis

The 110 m² apartment, located on the top floor of a residential building designed in 1956 by architect Spyros Staikos, is situated near the corner of Makrygianni Street and Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, in the heart of the Acropolis area.

The apartment’s direct visual connection and proximity to the Sacred Rock, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Acropolis Museum, the Makrygiannis Mansion, and Plaka impose a strong requirement for respect toward the timeless and unaltered character of the Athenian landscape.

For the cooling and heating of the residence, local fan coil units from the AERMEC FCX-P series, concealed within suspended ceilings, were installed in combination with an air-cooled inverter heat pump from the AERMEC ANLI series, manufactured by the Italian company AERMEC.

The HVAC system control is achieved through the AERMEC VMF central control system, operating via the MODBUS protocol, allowing full monitoring and management of the main heat pump parameters, as well as independent control of the indoor fan coil zones.
