AERMEC Chiller 687 kW in a Greek Pharmaceutical Plant
At the ELPEN pharmaceutical plant, a new air-cooled chiller AERMEC NRB2400ZDE 00/S with a nominal cooling capacity of 687 kW was installed, operating in combination with a specialized air-handling unit that ensures fully controlled temperature and humidity conditions throughout the production process.
The chiller offers high energy efficiency, is suitable for operation at outdoor temperatures up to 48°C, features low noise levels, and is designed for producing chilled water at very low temperatures down to –8°C.
Additionally, it includes an integrated plate heat-recovery exchanger for generating hot water, which is used for the reheating coil of the air-handling unit, enhancing the overall energy efficiency and reliability of the system.
